Wandering Garter Snake in the Santa Fe National Forest
Today I found 4 of these Terrestrial Garter snakes fishing in these small pools in Dalton Creek, Pecos, NM. They hunt underwater and move as if being buffeted by the current, slowly moving to and fro as if to emulate a dead branch being pushed by the water.
